Romeo is the farm's oldest resident, still going strong at the age of 34! A TWH, Romeo retired from riding years ago and has been the grand old man of the farm ever since. He has to be fed special mash twice a day, since he hardly has any teeth left! Romeo and Ruth have a very special bond. He is one of her "heart horses."

Freckles was one of our top lessons horses for years. He taught many a child to ride, and he is the star of his own book, "Speckly Weckly Freckly Dots" written and illustrated by Sara Lewis! For several years he went on book tours, posing for photos and giving "autographs." Freckles is still feisty at the age of 27!

Rocky is a gorgeous 19 year old AQHA buckskin, and was Ruth's show horse for half a dozen years. Sadly, Rocky had to be retired a few years ago after being diagnosed with a progressive degenerative disease that has rendered him lame. He is getting around fine but cannot be ridden, so he will live out his best life here at the farm where is he very much loved, as long as he is comfortable!

Frosty was purchased strictly to get him out of a bad situation, so he is "kind of" a rescue. He was misused at a young age and has serious arthritis as a result. Frosty is considered geriatric at 29, so he hasn't been ridden in a few years, but he was quite a showy little fella in his day! He is a typical pony -- sweet but STUBBORN! He's Romeo's pasture buddy, so our two "grumpy old men" are together!
